F.ART = Fashion + Art | Part I

Hi!

This will probably be the unusual, impromptu-i-didn't-prepare-for-it post. In the last 72Hrs. I've encountered with the coolest artist/painters that make your usual paintings or pop culture catchphrases into fashion forward (or may I say avant-garde) pop culture art.

To iPhone cases to Blake Lively's friend, here are they...

Disclaimer: as always, I'm not wikipedia nor bio.com so if you expect to know more about the artist feel free to use the google search engine. I found these people through online articles.

ASHLEY LONGSHORE

I clicked in her name basically because they were screaming "BLAKE LIVELY'S BEST FRIEND POP ART PAINTER" (or something along the way), the first picture I notice in the tweet is this colorful fashion related painting of Frida Kahlo, and then I logged into her site and BAM: Anna Wintour everywhere, countless recreations of Audrey Hepburn and Frida, and Kate Moss morphed into God, Nuns, superwoman, and yeah pretty much everything. Couldn't contain my self with sharing her art to my readers (first time I've said readers, am I an official blogger yet? nope. Still struggling).

Remember reading online that Ashley (the painter) was talking about this lifestyle of spending 20.000$ on a Berkin bag and doing it because you can and you f***ng want to.

Her paintings are pretty much the representation of what I would call, living the ultimate cosmopolitan-Sex&TheCity-Vogue lifestyle. Which I declare myself guilty of striving for.

I would've chosen every single painting but....

Oh and she also makes merchandise and furniture.  Click here for her site.

Wasn't that absolutely beautiful?

If you ever wished for Napoleon to wear Givenchy, your wishes have been granted. Chris Rellas, a Nasty Gal summer intern started an instagram account where he features iconic art masterpieces but making them more trendy by adding some Chanel earrings, a Givenchy sweater perhaps, Dior sneakers... Frida in Céline. This is the sickest account instagram can have, it reminds me of the account that has Renaissance paintings but they turned them into memes with Mean Girls's lines. Hysterical.

OH GOSH, CINDY!

And when I actually thought I gave up on iPhone cases due to two facts: 1. Marc Jacobs's are way too expensive. Had one and it broke. 2. The resistant ones are ugly as f. Then web surfing (lol i just said web surfing) I find this crazy, cool watercolor cases with BEYONCE AND CRYING KIM KARDASHIAN. Sorry Kim! Cindy Lesman stepped up her game and she has a store on Etsy which makes everything easier to buy.

She also has t-shirts or you can order the painting itself.

FIN.
